What is CASA?
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) is a non-profit organization that helps give children a voice in our court system as they navigate the foster care system. The job of a CASA volunteer is to listen to these children and report what they hear directly to a judge who can then make a decision in the best interests of the child. Help CASA continue their mission to provide support to children in abusive and neglectful situations. CASAs (Court Appointed Special Advocates) get to interact one-on-one with kids and report their observations directly to judges so decisions can be made with the best interests of the children in mind, and in many instances, life-saving decisions. Check out this video to see what it's like to be a CASA. Get your tissues ready...
